Two different cultures with an item that has two names; one for each culture. What if you wrote the wrong name? The Challenge is using the proper term for each different culture. Even if you have to ask which term they prefer, "better to be safe than sorry." If you misuse a term, trust and respect are lost between the writer and subject, a important connection. A writer should learn about the culture and community in order to prevent insensitive views and use the politically and socially correct word. A writer cannot delete an inappropriate comment that has been published.
