Writing Journalistically
For me when I'm writing journalistically I really find it hard not to put too much of a voice in it, like story telling or mainly sticking to the facts and not give my opinion. I also have a tendency to write exactly like I speak which is an error in academic writing but I feel it is much more acceptable than in a journalistic way you have to be so correct all the time. With journalistic writing I feel it is more stressful than academic writing you have to pay attention to every minor and with academic I feel like it is more fun to put it bluntly; most likely because it comes easy to me and I can spit out a three page paper in about an hour.
