Grammar Enthusiastic Parents

Fortunately, I face fewer challenges in terms of grammar, spelling, and punctuation than most people. There will always be mistakes in my writing. There will always be rules I need to look up a second or third time. But, my mother corrected me as I grew. For example, when I was young Mom would interrupt me mid-sentence and changed my "I" to "me" or vise versa. Although the explanation wasn't complete, Mom helped me begin to understand who and whom. My father was an avid reader and encouraged me to write. He repeatedly reminded me mechanics are an important tool a writer has.
