Write away!

Writing journalistically and writing academically are two very different formats of writing. You spend your entire life writing a certain way: introduction, body, closing. Now you are taught to write without a conclusion. So you must first choose the most important information, and let the rest be allowed to drop off, perhaps maybe even never getting published.

The AP Stylebook is like the journalists' Bible. You go to it for anything you question on spelling and grammar. It has the answers to all common errors in writing. The stylebook has come in handy in my personal life as well. if I am e-mailing or writing a paper for a different class I can always use the AP Stylebook to help me.
