Sensitive Language

Writing and reporting have the ability to stretch across the planet, to people of all races and affiliations. Because of this, these endeavors must be handled with caution and sensitivity, especially in a world where political correctness comes into question so very often. Few rules about what is socially appropriate are set in stone, but journalists have a responsibility to adhere to those rules and adapt to new ones as the world's community changes in its culture and tolerance. There is a fine line between what is and isn't socially acceptable writing, and the challenge in reporting on a culturally diverse world is changing one's writing to attract people of all backgrounds while still maintaining a theme of equality and acceptance.
