Who said being careful was easy?

For me, when it comes to writing stories, trying to write something that is sensitive to other cultures and communities isn't too hard. I have a multi racial background so there are some things that I read that can be offensive. It's all in the wording. Now, people have to be even more careful in what is written because more of their audiences are of different cultures and communities. Padgett's book New Directions in Diversity is a great source of how to use words that would be considered "safe" to use in stories. The times have changed and diversity is the key focus.
